Frank T. Willis

President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Willis is responsible for business strategy, financial performance, and successful execution and growth of the overall business.

Previously, Mr. Willis led the strategy, business development, marketing, and technology transition of numerous SBIR projects. His background includes leading worldwide strategic planning and business development for all target vertical markets in the military/aerospace, communications, industrial, oil and gas, transportation, security, and healthcare fields.

Mr. Willis received his undergraduate degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In addition, he served on active duty in the US Air Force from 1974 to 1978. He received a direct commission in 1984 and remained in the US Air Force Reserves until retirement in 1996.

Christian Veeris

Vice-President, Business Development

After a distinguished military career, Mr. Veeris joined industry and is now the Vice-President for Business Development at ISI. He executes company sales and marketing plans to promote ISI systems integration experience to new and expanding sectors.

Mr. Veeris graduated with military distinction from Purdue University, earning a B.S. in aeronautical technology and a commission in the United States Marine Corps. He also holds an M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles and a M.S. in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College, Washington, D.C.

Mr. Veeris’ personal decorations included the Bronze Star Medal, Joint Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star.

David Miller

Vice-President and General Manager, Products and Engineering Department

Mr. Miller oversees ISI’s manufacturing operations, product management and sustainment, and all engineering for technology development.

He has held prior roles as an S&T division GM, Director of Engineering, and various program management and engineering roles throughout his career. Mr. Miller has broad experience in the development and manufacturing of innovative systems and sensors for both government and commercial markets with a career that has been focused around advanced technology realization, from electric vehicle power systems to state-of-the-art unattended ground sensors.

Mr. Miller holds both a B.S.M.E. and M.S.M.E. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Juan F. Hodelin

Vice-President and General Manager, Automation, Robotics, and Sensor Systems Department

Dr. Juan Hodelin manages a strategic portfolio including soldier wearable technologies, EO/IR sensor systems, display and visualization technologies, nondestructive inspection technologies, and machine-learning algorithm development.

Prior to joining ISI, Dr. Hodelin led the development of innovative technologies from concept to advanced prototypes for the Army, Air Force, Navy, NASA, and DOE.

Dr. Hodelin earned a B.S. in applied physics from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Min-Yi Shih

Vice-President and General Manager, Electro-Optics Systems Department

Dr. Min-Yi Shih has extensive engineering and research and development experience in optoelectronic system integration, photonics, MEMS, nonlinear optics, sensors, optical materials, and nanophotonics.

He has authored or coauthored over 45 publications in conference proceedings and technical journals, and has been granted 21 US patents. He is a member of the Phi Tau Phi scholastic honor society. Dr. Shih chaired the IEEE/LEOS committee on Optoelectronic Packaging, Manufacturing, and Reliability (OPMR) and serves on the Avionics, Fiber-Optics and Photonics (AVFOP) committee.

He received his B.S. in physics from Tam-Kang University, Taiwan and his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Chris Ulmer

Vice-President, Chief Technologist

Mr. Ulmer has a long history of reducing advanced electronic systems down to extremely small size and power. He has spearheaded the development of the patented MWS™ (Micro Weather Sensor) which has achieved a breakthrough level of integration, small size, and low power.

He has also developed some of the world’s smallest ground-penetrating radar systems and nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers and hundreds of disparate electronic and software systems since completion of his education in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology.

Gerrit Vanden Brink

Vice-President, Corporate Administration

Mr. Vanden Brink brings over thirty years of management experience in high-tech industries and oversees many functions including Contracts, Purchasing, Proposals & Publications, Quality, Security, and Management Information Systems (MIS).

Prior to working at ISI, Mr. Vanden Brink coordinated the implementation of compliance programs, identification of potential issues, monitored project status, interacted with people at every level of the organization, and served as a proactive resource to senior leadership as they worked to address business development and execution concerns.

He earned his B.A. in business management from the University of Phoenix.

Bhavyank Rajani

Vice-President, Finance

Mr. Bhavyank Rajani manages the comprehensive finance function including Controllership, FP&A, Government Compliance, along with all other aspects of Finance. Mr. Rajani earned his M.B.A. and Bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), along with holding a Green Belt Six Sigma professional certification.
